For most people, breakfast just may be the most important meal of the day. If you're still doing cereal, bagels, and juice for breakfast than you're missing out. Not only are processed breakfast options not as "heart healthy" as the box would like you to believe, it's just not a great way to fuel your day. I'd recommend you give a grain-free/high protein breakfast a try.
Eggs are the breakfast staple in our house and for good reason. Eggs are inexpensive, delicious, a powerhouse of vitamins and minerals. They also keep your energy levels up throughout the morning. Eggs come naturally packaged in a perfect blend of protein and fat. Not only do egg whites contain all of the essential amino acids, but egg protein is extremely bioavailable - scoring higher than beef, dairy, or soy. Just remember, the darker the yolks the more nutritious the eggs.
